Last week, Gigi and I were finally able to get together and hash our blog. Over the last week, we have mapped out what each ones expectations are for the group. We will begin working on our first assignment. Since we know each other, we are trying to work through what is important for this project. Because Gigi and I are both busy with family and full-time work, we have decided that email and conference calls will be best to get our assignment complete.
Over the past week we have had to map out and begin the process for our first
assignment.
- Gigi and I will both conduct an interview with a pastor on Spiritual learner and share their interview.
- We will research people who utilize spiritual learning and identify benefits to adult learners.
- Group 3 will use this information support the main ideas
- All group members in Group 3 will present our information in order to prepare our final paper and ask for suggestions from each other. We will complete a final draft and submit on assignment for blackboard and blog.
Gigi and I have had some challenges, to get a better understanding of what is expected. We have reviewed the material in the syllabus and we are hoping that we are on the right track to getting our blog updated.
Our next challenge will be to complete the task for Friday, October 3 and have it reviewed with comments by Thursday with the final paper ready to be posted.

Narrative Learning highlights the role of narrative and narration in an individual learning and an understanding of how they act in the world. The ‘interior conversations’ whereby a person defines their personal thoughts and courses of action and creates their own stories and life missions, is situated at the heart of a person’s map of learning and understanding of their place in the world. Narrative learning as a concept seeks to shift the focus of learning from the prescriptiveness of a strongly defined curriculum to accommodate personal narrative styles and thereby encouraging engagement and motivation in the learning process.

Tansformational Learning:
Transformational learning is defined as learning that induces more far-reaching change in the learner than other kinds of learning, especially learning experiences which shape the learner and produce a significant impact, or paradigm shift, which affects the learner's subsequent experiences

Sounds like a lot of planing has gone into your review. I really like your team spirit. Our group has similar challenges in communication and lack of time. It sounds like you are getting this in order and have some practical steps.

ReplyDeleteGigi and Angela,
ReplyDeleteLiterature review paper is an individual paper. You need to write a literature review paper by yourself.
Program investigation paper is a group paper. You work together.
In your program investigation paper, you can interview people who utilize strategies of spiritual learning in their practice. You need to tell us the background information. For example: whom did you interviewed? What did they do in their programs? Describe the programs they organized and how they applied spiritual learning in their programs. Tell us how you want to apply some of the specific strategies you have learned from these programs into your program design.
